A scientific workshop to assess the current state of knowledge on waves in relation to currents, surface drifts and air-sea interactions hosted by the French Hydrographic and Oceanographic Service (SHOM).
A forum to advance the key issues in European marine research and intends in particular to foster the exchange of ideas across the boundaries of science, administration and policy. Therefore, all administrators and politicians as well as scientists and engineers from the private and public sectors in marine science and ocean technology are invited to attend and participate in the discussions or present papers.
The European Land-Ocean Interactions Studies meeting is open to all scientists with an interest in the complex and multiple problems of the coastal zone. At this meeting the scientific results from fifteen major EU projects will be synthesised.
The primary object of the First International Conference of Maritime Terminology was to bring together specialists in the language of seafarers and those involved in the study or teaching of maritime terminology. The present Proceedings include the various papers presented at the Conference.
Themes for the 2004 meeting include observing systems and technology, paleoclimatology and paleoceanography, coastal ocean processes, ecosystem modeling, ocean physics and climate influences.
