EGS-AGU-EUG Joint Assembly, Nice, France. April 6-11, 2003.
Seeks to provide a mechanism for the exchange of information among members of the research, development and user communities involved in the development of autonomous underwater systems. Historically, these Symposia have attracted large international participation.
The European Land-Ocean Interactions Studies meeting is open to all scientists with an interest in the complex and multiple problems of the coastal zone. At this meeting the scientific results from fifteen major EU projects will be synthesised.
The Conference theme is Forcing and Response in Coastal Dynamics, where the forcing may be natural or anthropogenic. This theme recognizes the importance in coastal research of looking at coastal processes as cause and effect. The theme encompasses field, laboratory, theoretical, and numerical studies, with emphasis on achieving comprehensive understanding of coastal processes and prediction of long-term and large-scale evolution of our coastlines.
Continuation of a state-sponsored conference of the same name first held almost 40 years ago, and then again in 1997. CWO '02 will provide an opportunity to use California as a case study and a springboard for discussions on the best ways to create, implement, or improve ocean and coastal resource management strategies for coastal states, territories, and commonwealths located throughout the United States and the world.
The conference took place in Rostock-WarnemALnde, Germany, between 26th and 28th April 2004. It focused on research, planning and management of the Baltic Sea. All results are available for download.
