27 Oct 2005 Sal, Cape Verde A pod of melon-headed whales recently stranded in a Cape Verdian bay in the Atlantic Ocean were guided back to sea in a rescue operation after being spotted by local residents. Of the nine whales that were stranded, seven made it to safety.
Though farm work is strenuous and exhausting, this photograph suggests that jovial camaraderie could sometimes relieve the strain of being in the fields.

Executive Summary Bitter melon (Momordica charantia L.) is frequently found growing in tropical and sub-tropical climates, and is consumed in most Asian countries.
Melons, including cantaloupes, are grown at ground level and their outer skin can become contaminated with pathogens while in the field, by soil or improperly composted manure.
Four ingredients - cantaloupe, lime, water and sugar - with a raspberry garnish make the agua de melon easy to prepare and even easier on the eyes. More robust than juice but lighter than a smoothie, this fruity refreshment tickles your tongue, nourishes your body, and refreshes your spirits.
