Description - Wild celery has ribbon-like leves that can grow to six feet in length. The leaves grow to the pond surface then bend and float on the surface. Each leaf is serrated with a stripe down the middle. Flowers are on long stalks that float.

Every living thing -- celery included -- is made of different kinds of cells. Each cell has its own special job to do. Some cells store food; others absorb water. Cells don't have doors for food and water to get in, though. The cell walls are like a special film or fabric.
