Celery mosaic virus (CeMV) is a virus disease of celery. CeMV was first identified in South Australia in the 1980's but has now spread throughout all Australian celery growing districts. Symptoms Infected plants have a mosaic pattern on the leaves (Figures 1, 2 & 3) and are stunted.
Every living thing -- celery included -- is made of different kinds of cells. Each cell has its own special job to do. Some cells store food; others absorb water. Cells don't have doors for food and water to get in, though. The cell walls are like a special film or fabric.

These structures seem to be of two types, with similarities to both the carbon tubules and nanobeads discussed above, although they have a celery-like structure that has not been hitherto reported.
