Plant Disease 1988 | Suppression of Sclerotinia sclerotiorum and Watery Soft Rot of Celery by Controlled Atmosphere Storage.
CELERY CREEK. Celery Creek rises thirteen miles northwest of Menard in northern Menard County (at 31°03' N, 99°56' W) and runs southeast for seventeen miles to its mouth on the San Saba River, a mile west of Menard (at 30°55' N, 99°47' W).
. The main disease present in the state is fusarium yellows, caused by Fusarium oxysporum fs apicola race 2. Our program has released many resistant lines to breeders, such as UC1, UC8, UC10 and UC26 among others.
All Michigan celery is established from transplants. Because of the high cost of production, a complete stand of uniform, perfectly spaced plants is needed to obtain maximum yields. Celery is a cool season crop that produces highest yields and best quality at temperatures of 60° to 80° F.
Here are some plotted results from Frogwatch USA data. Select a site from the left, and then use the controls below to choose a species of frog and a year. See data on call intensity over time in the graph and data table below.
Eight genes of celery (Apium graveolens) were characterized by classical segregation analyses: Adh-1, Adh-2, Pgm-2, Pgm-3, Pgi-3, Mdh-3, Sdh- 1, and A-112. Evidence for the existence of additional ADH and PGI loci also is presented.
