Devrinol was tested in this trial in these crops. The trial was carried out on finer finesand soil in Jokioinen, Nummela. Chinese cabbage was transplanted by hand from greenhouse-grown transplants on June 2nd 2004. Chinese cabbage is annual in temperate climates and biennial in East Asia. The plant has oblong ovale leaves of 30-60 cm length. The outer leaves are bright to dark green, the inner leaves golden yellow, creme to white. The leaf ribs are fleshy, white and broad.

Frozen cabbage or chinese cabbage is suitable for use only as a cooked vegetable. Select freshly picked, solid heads. Trim coarse outer leaves from head. Cut into medium to coarse shreds or thin wedges, or separate the head into leaves. Blanch shredded cabbage 1 1/2 minutes, and wedges 3 minutes.
